Upper Stages: How to Eat Like a Child
Students entering grades 7-9
During 2 weeks of camp, our oldest campers (grades 7-9) will practice and perform an absolutely brilliant piece of musical theater called, “How To Eat Like a Child.” This musical romp through the joys and sorrows of being a child is hilarious. Children give lessons in such subjects as how to beg for a dog, how to torture your sibling, how to act when sent to your room, and how to laugh hysterically. The show is perfect for middle school aged actors because it is fast paced, quick-witted, and PACKED with solo and feature opportunities, allowing loads of campers the opportunity to shine brightly and spread their wings. This is not a show you will forget!

Center Stages: Pinocchio
Students entering grades 4-6
During this 2 week long camp, our 4-6th grade campers will learn to take the lead this year as they stage our 2025 Summer Arts Stages Touring Show: Pinocchio! Set in Italy, this beautiful version of the beloved tale, Pinocchio, tells the story of a boy-sized puppet built by the caring puppet maker, Geppetto. Knowing of his longing for a son, the Blue Fairy brings Pinocchio to life as a reward for Geppetto’s generous spirit. Pinocchio is told by the Blue Fairy that if he always obeys his father, she will turn him into a real boy. Unfortunately, Pinocchio’s childhood longings lead him away from his father and on an adventure unlike any others. From the Land of the Toys to the belly of a whale, Pinocchio learns that no love is greater than that of a parent for a child.

Beginning Stages: Pinocchio
Students entering grades 1-3
Grow, learn, and play as part of this wonderful 5-day Stages experience! Beginning Stages is designed with young learners in mind, helping them navigate their first stage experiences in a fun and safe environment. Through games, songs, dance, and crafts, campers entering grades 1-3 learn all about putting on a show, encouraged and supported by our team of skilled collegiate counselors. At the end of the week, Beginning Stagers will take the stage, joining the Center Stages campers (grades 4-6) in this year’s performance: Pinocchio! Their role in the ensemble (with featured songs just for them) gives them a chance to shine, while also inspiring them as they watch their older cast mates take on larger roles. We cannot wait to greet the youngest members of our Stages family this June.
